More Hallo Hallo Cafe: Episodes 3-4 Review

Episode 4

Angel can’t get over from that week’s Amachan episode because two characters had died or something. Look, I don’t watch Amachan and I don’t have plans to (Tokusatsu GaGaGa however, I have to finish that one) but don’t worry about that, because it doesn’t have to do anything with this episode because the challenge revolves around this play on words.

I love these South Park-tier graphics
It is at this point, Venus knew she’s screwed.

Anybody up for Russian Roulette? Yeah, the challenge is basically Russian Roulette but this is a TV show so depictions of the real game isn’t allowed so instead, we put in five pieces of sushi and whoever gets to eat that one piece with wasabi on it loses. So, here we go.

Who do you think gets the piece with the wasabi?

  1. Venus
  2. It’s A because Venus gets the one with the wasabi.

The challenge doesn’t end there though because you think that the hosts are immune to challenges? No no no because the production team at the back asked them to do so and since I don’t like repeating gags, Angel gets the same fate Venus had seconds ago.

Angel’s shoes makes her look ready to do a superkick party

Now we go to “Hallo Hallo Panalo” wherein you can get prizes and surprises and this time, we get a bag of Japanese sweets. 450 Pesos worth of Japanese sweets that Angel claims were made from matcha and kinako flour.

What’s kinako flour? Exactly. Also, this prize is something you can buy at the imported section at your local supermarket (COVID notwithstanding) so if I were to watch this show on TV, back in 2015, I’d pass.

3/5, nothing much happening here, the prize in itself is a bit underwhelming and not even Angel’s adlibs can make me grade this episode much higher than what it has right now.

That’s it for now. See ya next week for more Hallo Hallo Café reviews and I might drop more TV show reviews and some other stuff you enjoy. Maybe something relating to the 90s perhaps or something else? I don’t know. Let’s see how this plays out but until then, I hope you have a wonderful day.
