A Short MNL48 Post, a.k.a. Is This A Sign Of Things To Come?

MNL48? Are they still alive at this point? I can already see some of you typing that in the comments section on whatever platform you’re reading this on, but, yes, the group is still alive and kicking as of 2024.

To pick up where we left off, MNL48 lost two of its members, Miho Hoshino and Princess Briquillo, who were integral to the group’s beginnings, and as of press time, there hasn’t been any news or announcements from the group aside from the graduation until today, as of this writing.

The Japanese Embassy in the Philippines invited the girl group, which originated back in 2018, to perform at the 31st Philippine Travel Tour Expo and be the face of Japanese performing arts for the expo attendees.

Anyway, after the performance on the main stage, the girls moved to a much smaller stage at the Japanese Embassy’s booth, wherein they sang a YOASOBI song.

Hours after the performance, Sheki Arzaga and Frances Pinlac did a rendition of the Mariya Takeuchi hit classic “Plastic Love.” together with Sharila and the Band.

This is not the only “blink twice if you’re still okay” moment for the group, as it was also announced that they will be collaborating with its Indonesian sister group and their parent group in Bandung, Indonesia, this March.

Anyway, that’s it for today. Let’s wait for more updates to come.
